Pretty simple, folks:
One 3G passenger side stock OEM tail light lens, in used (but good) condition.
Why I'm selling it: a while back, my 2004 TL's bumper was hit in a hit-and-run in an airport parking lot. The body shop estimate wanted to replace the driver's side headlight (above where the impact occurred), even though the headlight wasn't damaged. For the price they were going to charge my insurance, it was just under what I could pay for two brand new OEM tail lights.
So, I bought a pair of 2007 stock tails instead and had those installed, and I got my original lenses back.
The lens is in great condition, has been cleaned with a fine, soft-bristle toothbrush that I use for detailing used parts whenever I remove them from my car. The lens surface is clear and has no UV damage/hazing, but does have some very light wear marks (it's like scuff marks, but not visible unless you look at it from an angle, and are looking for them) on the center part of the lens. It's the kind of wear you would expect from years of rubbing from car washes, where it doesn't leave an opaque mark of any kind.
I've got this sitting around in a box in my apartment taking up space, and I'd love to see them get used by someone who needs them instead.
$35 + shipping depending on your location. OBO.
Thanks for looking! One love!

Here's a temperature check to purchase a set of these wheels/tires from someone on here. I know that I can purchase the wheels online for ~$1100 plus tires plus TPMS but I'd like to see if anyone wants to sell theirs and upgrade. Looking for great condition wheels. Send me a PM if anyone has ones to sell. Thanks!

So, My girl was winding down the passenger window to talk to me, and i heard *bang* and the window stopped operating.
Upon coming back to the car, I (in hindsight, probably idiotically) pressed the button to try to make it work. It went down when I pressed up.
I assume this is a general issue with the make and model, as both back windows have been... made manual by a previous owner.
Any idea what's wrong? What will it take to bring it back to factory spec? and what can I do in the mean time to make my life liveable? (see: air conditioning)
Keep in mind i live in Sarasota Florida, it rains every day at approximately 4PM, and it's hotter than hades the rest of the day.

Hi,
I just purchased a 2000 RL with 103,000 miles. It is green and needs some paint work. I have a few questions and am hoping you guys can help me out.
1 - Anyone in the Southern California area know of a good but affordable body shop to paint my hood, rear bumper, and a rear fender section? It is tricky to find a good mix of quality and low price, but I'm just not willing to pay top dollar on paint work for a 14 year old car because obviously price is the reason why I bought such an old car.
2 - There is oil all over the bottom of the car around what appears to be the transmission bracket (I believe this is the jack point for the front of the car). Is this a common problem that can be attributed to the transmission? Or was it more likely a messy oil change?
3 - My transmission has a grind and hesitation when shifting from 1st to 2nd, and is more pronounced if shifting at higher RPM. I read that changing the transmission fluid will help and I will do this soon. Any other thoughts on the transmission? I saw a thread where the extension shaft was caked in rusted oil? Is there a preventative or service procedure to avoid this?
4 - The hood can not be held up anymore from the hydraulic arms. Is there a fix for this? What do you guys do to prop the hood up when the arms are failed?
5 - My cluster lights are out. Is there anyone in the Los Angeles area that can lend a hand? Whenever I remove these types of components and panels I always break something or cannot align it on installation.
Thank you guys. Here's hoping for a long and happy life with the Acura RL.

Two weeks ago the compressor wouldn't consistently engage in my wife's 04 TSX. I suspected that it needed a recharge on the R134 refrigerant, but I hadn't addressed it yet.
Now, the blower motor has completely stopped blowing, regardless of setting on the navi screen.
Looks like that is usually the transistor, so I will change that anyway. Looks to be
number 6 on this page.
What worries me is the intermittent compressor issue. The only place I can think of that would cause both these problems is the control panel, and that is a $2200 part. Is there any place that would cause both of these issues, other than the climate control panel? Thanks in advance.

LOW LOW miles, this TL is a rare find with white exterior and black leather interior.
Very clean inside and out, well maintained, oil changed every 3000 to 3500 miles. Washed and clean 1-2 times per week, waxed 4 times per year, carpet, leather, paint, undercarriage, etc. are spotless. I am very meticulous with my vehicles.
This car combines power, luxury, safety, and at a very affordable price. You will be pleased!

Hello All,
first post, new to the RDX and to the forum, just got a nice 2007, found the forum when surfing for aftermarket rotors.
Would like to install bigger tires, a higher profile ones, any advise would be greatly appreciated, I need to drive a few miles of dirt road, and the higher ground clearance I could get without major mods, the better for me.

Uh oh.
Quote:
Michael Bay may be known primarily for showcasing awesome cars and explosions in the Transformers movies, but now he's taking on a very different kind of car-related movie. Bay and Warner Bros. have agreed to develop a movie based on designer Daniel Simon's 2007 book Cosmic Motors, according to Variety.
The book features concept art for futuristic vehicles from a faraway civilization called Galaxion. That sounds like fertile plot ground, provided Simon's cars get a decent amount of screen time before Bay blows them up.
According to Simon's back story, Cosmic Motorsor CoMo for shortturns retired war machines into high-tech performance vehicles. The book focuses on nine vehicles, including a "luxurious business truck" and a "mind-controlled unlimited-class racer."
Machete Kills writer Kyle Ward will reportedly pen the screenplay. Bay is on board to produce so far, but hasn't been confirmed as the director.
Simon himself is no stranger to movies. He was the lead vehicle designer on Tron: Legacywhere he re-imagined the iconic Light Cycleand Captain America: The Winter Solider. He was also a concept illustrator for the sci-fi film Oblivion.
Outside of Hollywood, Simon also designed the Lotus C-01 superbike and liveries for race cars. If that sleek motorcycle is any indication, an entire fictional world populated with Simon's designs should be something to see.

To start off I currently drive a mainstream brand but am looking at a luxury brand for my next vehicle.
I had to bring my vehicle in for service because of a broken spring. The manufacturer is doing a recall on this part but it has just been announced and the dealers are not prepared for it yet. While my dealer is fixing my part for free I am noticing the mainstream experience vs. luxury experience. 1st off all they don't do loaners. I have a rental car but I have to pay for it myself since it was my choice to rent for 3 days instead of bringing my vehicle back when the part arrived. The service area supports 4 major mean stream brands for the Auto Mall and had candy machines and free coffee. It was not luxurious by any means. They support everything from a 12k car to vehicles in the 50-60k range. So far the service rep has been very good and I expect my vehicle to be fixed in a good fashion but I think the service experience is probably worth a 1-2k difference in price on my next car. I have been eyeing the RDX and Lexus NX. I compare them to the Jeep Cherokee and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. All are nice vehicles but I think if the vehicles are similar all around for my needs and options then 1-2k more for the Acura or Lexus may be worth it. The Hyundai is very appealing because of its powerful engine and better warranty but it is still.... a Hyundai.
While NX pricing is not available yet here is top of the line pricing for the Cherokee, Santa Fe Sport, and RDX:
RDX tech AWD- $38577 invoice
Cherokee Limited AWD with stronger engine with options - $33905 invoice
Santa Fe Sport AWD with options - $35856 invoice

after sittin in a parking lot with ac on and engine running my 2001 cl type s suddenly died . starting backup was difficult as it sounded like running out of fuel wich i had plenty of. limped home 1 mile away with hazrds on and let cool down. tried starting and even worse now as it would not start but for a second or two then die.
listened for fuel pump humm on start ..yes ...
check eng light on so read code and only one P1361
TDC sensor
After researching in several directions the code P1361,
I found discussions about connections etc. getting wet after spray wash and or bad connections /damaged wiring. I did not find one case where the TDC sensor had gone bad and infact many resolved problems by re running 4 conductor to sensor.
So with that in mind I started in around the area of Wiring and 4 pin connector . i noticed a slight leakage around steering pump that could possibly get into and around sensors as they are located right down and behind pump. but again ..rare it seems for these to go bad so...
Before pulling everything apart I checked the resistance between 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 also went looking for any voltage at harness with key ign on. here is what i found and need someone with the knowledge to tell me if readings indicate fault or bad sensor/s...
At sensors... resistance measures 750 ohms between 1&2 and 750 ohms between 3&4 .and no shorts to ground.
At the harness side with key oni detected only a slight ambient voltage of .03-.04 volts on 1 & 2...1 & grnd
same with 3 & 4 .. & 3 to grnd
also on harness side i had
shorts to ground on2 & 4 and ,
10 k ohms between 1 & 2 and 10k between 3 & 4 please if someone could tell me what if anything this determines and any advice is appreciated. i need this car running in a huge way. thank you in advance for any advice on how to resolve.

I want to clean up my iTunes (and iPad). Over the years, I have well over 50 apps. I think 10 of them are apps I paid for. The rest are free apps.
I want to start over BUT keep the apps that I paid for.
How can I tell if an app was something that I paid for, or not? Is size a first indication?
TIA

Recently picked up a 2010 sh-awd in palladium metallic with 40k on the clock! So when I bought the car i told myself i would keep it "classy" and stock, seeing as i had a rice-tastic prelude sh before the TL, i wanted something subtle. Needless to say, i don't think i can keep anything stock lol. Already got max va legal tint all around, next on the list is Takeda SRI, H&R Sport Springs, and a rear window "spoiler". All of which I'm hoping to get done this sunday, my only day off. Let me know what you think of the cars progress so far.

Hey guys, I opened my trunk today and then tried to close it, but it just bounced right off the latch. Thought the latch was just stuck, so I looked in the part of the latch connected to the top of the trunk and this spring was just sitting in there not connected to anything.
I don't have my helms manual with me at work, but was wondering is this an easy fix? I tried to move the latch with my finger, but it wouldn't budge until I touched a metal piece on the left side of the top latch. My release button from the driver's side door still works.
