I just purchased a new Honda Accord 2018 2.0T after my 330,000 mile 2005 Acura tl transmission died. I have been looking for a good forum like this one but have found nothing like this place anyone have a suggestion? Also this place has been amazing over the years thanks to all that make it what it is!
I think I have a bad wheel bearing on my 2014 ILX Tech. Any suggestions on parts or a DIY video? Thoughts on if it might be something else that's a common problem? There's about 80k miles on it and I'm pretty sure it's a wheel bearing growl at highway speeds. Trying to figure out if anyone sells the bearing already pressed in.
Has anyone tried installing an envelope-style cargo net in the trunk? I was totally disappointed after I got the car with cargo net pre-installed, that ended up being a floor-style cargo net with no way to install a vertical cargo net that's been in all other Acura and Honda vehicles...
I hope that someone had luck and could share how to solve the problem.
Hopefully a simple question... the build tool on Acuras site shows black lugs and black locks as possible accessory options. Ill be getting an A-Spec with the dark wheels does the A-Spec already come with dark lugs and/or locks, or is it an accessory Id need to add on?
2012 AWD all stock. While doing the oil change yesterday noticed that my passengers front tire is completely worn on the inner edge. I've had a strange clunking noise coming from the front end over small bumps lately. All bushings visually appear ok, however when I put the car on the ground and the suspension is supporting the weight of the car I noticed when my brother turned the wheel back and forth that the lower control arms have movement at the bushings while the steering wheel is being moved back and forth.
I am assuming there is supposed to be no movement in these bushings? and potentially could be causing my tire wear? Has anyone replaced their lower control arms? How much of a pain? Thanks for the advice.
So I am planning on buying the RV6 Catted Downpipe for my RDX, but from looking at the exhaust system it seems that the Catalytic Converter is located after the downpipe. Does anyone know what those parts are?

I have a surplus of TL and CL PARTS and cars. Had an 03 Type S auto that needed a transmission, decided to auto to manual convert it and it went without a hitch.
Save for the fact that it wont rev past 5 grand in any gear.
If I had to guess the car probably thinks it's still in park, and I dont have any other Ecu's sitting around, is there a way to defeat or bypass tis???

Hey everyone, bought an 04 TL a few months ago in Walpole,MA. It has Brembo front brakes on it and I thought that it had bramble rear brakes as well but the dealer did them because the ebrake wasnt working and now theyre just cheap autozone calipers pads and rotors in the rear. So my first question is, did the 04 TLs. With the Brembo brakes come with rear Brembo or just fronts? And my next question is, how do I find the proper rotor and pads for the fronts? Are they just regular pads or are they over sized? Any input would be helpful. And where can I get a matching BBK for the rear? Cant find anything that matches online. I would hate to have the fronts say Acura, and the rear to be StopTech or whatever. Thank you again! Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Just looking for an experienced opinion. I'm looking at a 2008 TL 125k. Mostly dealer maintained. Timing belt and plugs done at 105k. There asking $5500. In my area people are asking $7000-10000 for 2007-2010 with mileage between 100-150k. I'm hoping to drive it tomorrow. Body and interior are 9.0 out of 10. Any thoughts?

so Im pretty new to this but I have a 2008 Acura TL Type-S. Ive been looking in to getting a truck but I love my car to much I dont want to get rid of it, Id rather just turn it into a project car. My main goal is Id love to throw a turbo in there, but it has 115k on it and I want to see what kind of shape the bottom end is in and how much it can handle. But for right now, Im going to focus on sound and aesthetics. I would love to change up my exhaust as we can all agree that the stock exhaust is a little to quiet. I dont know exactly what I want to do yet, but what I do know is I dont want the car to sound like a ricer or anything like that. I want it to be a deep rich mean tone when Im done with it. What would anyone reccomend?? Also Id love to put some kind of intake in just to give it some kind of love. Other than that I dont really know what else there is to do, which is why Im here. Any suggestions are welcome. No matter what I do whether its looks, sounds, or performance, I like things to be subtle, to seem close to stock but not stock, just the next level. Thanks everybody!!
Hi everyone, I sold my beloved CL-S after 11 years of ownership and bought a 08 TL (base). One of the LCA bushings is completely torn and the arm is resting on the sub-frame. I've called around a few mechanics/shops and they all suggest replacing the entire arm since they don't want to mess with pressing in a new bushing (or don't have the ability to do so). I could really use some recommendations for the best aftermarket lower control arms. I checked and Moog doesn't seem to make one for an 08 TL.....otherwise I would have gone with that choice. What other brand do people recommend? Also, does anyone know a good Acura/Honda mechanic in the Chicago area that they would recommend? Thanks in advance for the feedback.
Selected the Compass display in the Multi-Information Display. The letter(s) in the center of the display
always correctly indicate the direction of travel. And the pointer is correct for the N-S component. But the
pointer is reversed for the E-W component. Not a big deal unless you are relying on the compass to find
your way. Will be interesting to see if the 2020s as delivered fixed this.
I have the ELS speaker in the back window area and something between it and the trunk liner is rattling. I had my son reach up and lightly press the liner to the speaker area while driving and the rattle stopped. Does anyone have any pics or instructions on how to remove the liner? Or can point me to a video? Thanks
