Shock Replacement for 06 TSX

Hey Guys,

I'm at 130K miles on my 06 TSX and I've been feeling the bumps a lot more lately. I am looking to replace the original shocks at a local shop. I've read a lot on here about the aftermarket brands, but I think I am just going to go with OEM.

I noticed that they no longer sell the full assemblies (https://www.oemacuraparts.com/v-2006...shock-absorber). Should I just purchase the 4 shock absorber units? Or are there any other parts from the full assembly that would make sense to purchase as well?

So I’ve been contacting a few local dealers lucky there are about 10 within 50 mile radius of my home. I got the best offer and pitted them against each other and finally agreed to a price

44,556 plus taxes and fees which is around 3999 off msrp. This will include remote start not through Acura link, and all weather mats for a ‘19 SHAWD white pearl RDX,

i have to go sign paperwork tomorrow.

New KBP TL-S Owner

Just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Joe and I recently purchased a KBP Type-S about a month ago. Have done a couple mods including LED fogs, LED tail lights, window visors, third-brake strobing light, and have even gotten the rear bumper resprayed because of so many scratches from the previous owner. Hello I live on long island just wondering where the best place to get my tl tuned. I just got rv6 precast delete and a j pipe. I am also going to be getting air intake. But just want to start looking around for the best place to get it tuned. Thank you any help would be great.

Yet ANOTHER Problem AWD Warning

Turning at a 4-way stop today and car looses all power and this big warning come up I the dash. AWD WARNING AWD has stopped working and you may now only have front wheel drive. Wtf!!! Of course I am out of country in the US. So phone the dealer and guess what they say !!?? We have never seen this. Grrrrrr
oil has dilution
infotainment system glitchy
now this. What a joke !!!

seems to still drive fine in front wheel drive.

New Owner/Member - Have found some issues (Leaks)

Greetings all,

I recently purchased a 2012 TL SH-AWD 6MT with 78000 miles. I set up an appointment at the dealer for an oil consumption test and a B12 service for this coming week. Tonight I decided to look everything over well to see if there was anything I wanted to bring to their attention while they've got it in the shop. I thought I looked stuff over pretty well when test driving, but I did not put the car it up in the air. Unfortunately tonight I found a few areas of concern. Pictures and descriptions of issues below.

1) Oil leaking from transmission. It is black and somewhat sticky, I assume it's M/T fluid. I removed the little black cover and took a couple pictures. Thoughts on where this could be coming from? Anyone had this problem? Any idea at how much I'm looking at to fix it? Major or minor concern? I've owned a few M/T Hondas, 03' 5MT Civic Coupe, 06' 6MT Civic SI, 14' 6MT Accord Sport and I've never seen any oil leak from the transmission. Pics 1 - 3

2) Some form of grease or oil appears to be leaking from what appears to be a support bearing for the passenger side half-shaft. I haven't noticed any abnormal noise. Thoughts or concerns with this? Pics 4 & 5.

3) Some oil seeping/leaking from above oil pan seal on passenger side. Possibly timing chain cover. (Any thoughts on if they'll make me fix this seep before performing the consumption test? Pic 6

4) Coolant level was below MIN level in tank. I filled it up and checked the radiator level. Added a few ounces to the radiator. Couldn't see any obvious leaks. I guess I'll find out if it's internal at the oil change this week. Any concerns of head gasket failures on these cars?

Thanks all in advance for your time! I love the car so far, but these findings have given me some concern and trepidation. I'm going to point all these things out at the service center, but I'm just looking for an idea of cost that may be associated with some of these issues.

Iphone disconnects after 15 seconds

This is happening often. Plug in iphone, play music, after about 15 seconds it just disconnects, then 10 seconds later it might reconnect. And i think i need to start the music again, which is a huge distraction while im driving. Incredibly annoying...Affecting others too?

Willing to ship at buyer's expense but would much prefer a local sale, even if it means a little driving on my part to meet somewhere reasonable.

Wheels I would put as a 7.5 out of 10 on one (slight scuff to the finish on one spoke) and 8/10 for the other three. Tires measure out around 7/32 left, verified by Belle Tire who removed but then remounted these tires to these wheels. Wheels are pretty lightweight at around 23 lbs each. Also, these were ceramic coated late 2018 before winter storage.

Wheels are 5 x 120 lug pattern. I can provide pics of these on my old 4G TL if anyone wants.

Asking $1800 for all four, shipping extra.

Factory Tint?

Happy Spring,

We just purchased a new 2019 RDX Premium Elite and the VIN search on this site states that Factory Deep Tint is standard. The dealership told us that none of the windows come factory tinted and sold us a "Dealer Installed" tint package. Just wondering if anyone can confirm if this trim level included factory tint on the rear windows or not? Just in case it matters, this is a Canadian vehicle.

There has to be a removable SIM card in the 2019 RCX Vehicle for the offered AT&T Wi-Fi service. I would like to change the sim card out for local provider that offers unlimited Data.
Does anyone know where the SIM is located?
Has anyone tried to change it?

Car Alarm/ Multiple Fixes

I’ve got this dreaded 3G car alarm issue where it randomly goes off for no apparent reason. I’m at my wits end. I’ve searched this forum for weeks to come up with the fixes I’ve completed thus far. I read how one guy simply sold his car. He was that sick of the problem. I laughed. I’m not laughing anymore.

What I’ve replaced with new parts so far:

* Power door lock actuators in all 4 doors
* All 4 black “dome light” switches in door jams
* New trunk lock/latch
* New hood lock/latch

At this point it’s becoming an issue of what’s the car really worth. If it costs $1,500 at the dealer to diagnose it then forget it. Consider it one more TL going to the scrapyard. Other than this the car is in perfect shape but I cannot have the cops called on me every night (and I can’t leave my doors unlocked), and I can’t have it going off at work anymore. Security is pissed.

What else is there? I’m tired of throwing money and parts at it with no real idea for what the reason is. So far a lot of people have ideas about how to fix it from reading the forums but these people haven’t really had the problem themselves.

Any help is extremely appreciated!!! I’m tired of disconnected the negative battery terminal everywhere I go. I thought of putting a kill switch in it... but one shouldn’t have to do that and it’s pretty extreme.

Antennae mast broken

New mbr here. First post. Thanks to the extremely long Canadian winter, a late snowfall had me hastily clearing the snow off the top of my 08 RDX and the snowbrush hit the antennae at the rear part of the roof and broke it clean off.
Radio now flashes the time and code 3. How hard is it to replace one of these? And has anyone got a code list

Check oil level light

So my 2013 sh-awd is doing this thing at idle (when rpms drop to 0) once the engine gets warm the "check oil level" light flashes in the cluster until i step on the gas again. Super weird issue and the dealer is mystified by the issue. They changed the oil pressure switch because they found it to be faulty only for the issue to be worse after. Anyone deal with a similar issue?

BC Coilover Install (Acura RDX 2012)

Hey guys, have any of you recently bought the BC Coilover kit?

I am trying to install it but I seem to be having some issues or what appears to be an issue to me. The spring perch seems to not be held by anything. I was looking at one of the first installs by KenBenz and it seems like he was able to use the original metal cup that held the OEM spring bushing to hold the spring perch, all he had to get was some longer bolts. With this setup I received the spring perch is too wide to hold the cup, so it's basically just sitting there between the chassis and the spring. My question is, is it safe that way or should there be something to hold it in place? I keep thinking the compressing force of the spring will keep it in place but I don't know. Any suggestions? i recently got my 2019 RDX, so far I like how it drives and everything. It also got me searching and wondering if anyone has figured out a way to hack the infotainment. I looked at the notifications and it seems like it’s running a skin on android.

when I say hack I am looking for things where you can install apps, or play videos get more out of trip computer etc

Passenger door handle

Does anyone know how to put back the door handle on the passenger side? The door handle is stuck on the open position and won't go back in. The actual door open and closes fine but does not go back in the actual handle.
