FS: OEM 3G TL 04-06 Base TL 17" wheels with TPMS

These are the original OEM set of wheels from my car. These are the 2006 edition of the wheels so they include indents for the TPMS sensors. The wheels are in near perfect condition, I've driven very carefully with them. Would keep them but currently have Type-S wheels. There is essentially no curb rash on any of these wheels, can send more pics if needed. Wheels are true and straight. These are the original Enkei wheels.

The price is $500 for all 4 wheels and OEM TPMS.I will not be parting out the TPMS sensors.
I am looking to sell local and as a total set of 4 as first priority. These wheels are ready to bolt on. 2 of the tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE030 (about 40% tread left) and 1 tire is Continental ExtremeContact DWS (about 80% tread left) and 1 tire is Continental ContiExtremeContact (about 80% tread left), all tires are 235/45/17. I know these fit the 3GTL but I can't comment for sure on which other cars they may fit. The wheels are located near Jersey City NJ, right outside of NYC. 97 RL window relay troubleshooting help

Problem window (passenger rear) won't move- 3 other windows work perfect...

Hypothesis: I think it's the relay to the rear passenger side, because the relay only reads 11.4V (short of 12) on the multimeter and it won't make a window budge up or down.

***I have tested the following items and they were okay...motor, regulator, switch (master and local). Any alternate explanation?

Fact 1: The problem windows switch was tested and it is good.

Fact 2: Both the switch on the problem door and master switch cause a "surge" or "click" noise but neither of them will move a regulator (up or down) when hooked up to a working window motor and regulator.

Fact 3: For the problem window the relay is only spitting +/- 11.48V....AND it does not roll up or down a working motor and regulator.

I have heard several alternate explanations but what do y'all think is my problem?

I looked at the fuse under the hood and it looks good...why would all the other windows work and not that one?

Burning Plastic smell and white smoke come out

I have my 2003 TL TypeS. When I was driving this morning, all of sudden, I heard some weird sound came from backside. It seems like came out of the speaker in the trunk. At the same time, burning plastic smell came out. I turned off the radio and parked my car. I saw white smoke came from the right rear seat and the trunk. Right now the radio cannot turn on and the power outlet is not working either. I just checked the fuse,the radio fuse blown. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Preventative Maintenance Questions about the Transmission on my 2001 Cl 3.2 Type S

Last weekend I bought my first Acura, a 2001 Cl 3.2 Type S with 139,000 miles on it. When researching this car, I became aware that there was a known transmission problem. The previous owner indicated that the transmission had been fixed, and a transmission cooler has been installed as well. I did a test drive before buying the car, and had a mechanic look the car over, and everything checked out. It seemed fine. I was convinced that it was a good buy for a very well maintained and kept up car with its known reliability (aside from the well documented transmission issue) at the price of $3,800. Now that I have the car, I've been doing more research on the transmission issue and it's certainly making me more critical of my recent purchase.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the problem never really was fixed, even with the replacement transmissions. Sure there are people who have had their cars for a long time without a hitch, but many people are talking about their 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th transmission failing.

What I have to ask you all here is what preventative measures can I take to ensure that sure my transmission does not fail? Are there any cheap modifications or part replacements that I can have done? Should I be changing my transmission fluid much more frequently than you would in other cars? Should I be putting some special transmission fluid in my car?
What about driving habits? Would it help to accelerate more slowly, or even quickly? Would using the tiptronic "manumatic" manual mode help some how? (I know, that's probably a stretch, but it's a thought that I had.)

Is there anything at all that has been proven to work in preventing transmission failures in this car? I'm hoping that answer is yes. Otherwise, I hear that transmission replacements run at $3,000 to $4,000 and I am not looking forward to doubling the price of my purchase is the transmission gives out 10,000 miles down the road. All told, I love my new purchase and hope to keep it. Thanks all.

Honda "AV6" ....BAYA or MAYA ?

The Honda Accord V-6's "AV6" used between '03 and '07 apparently had two different manufacturing codes:

BAYA and MAYA

Does anybody know for sure which one of these codes is for the desired :rtfm: '06>'07 AV6 which we use as a donor bolt-in upgrade for replacing our weak problematic 2nd Gen trannys ???

Future Brakes Upgrade....Need Help!

Sorry for everyone that hates people like me, but I'm a dummy when it comes to brakes. I know if I push the pedal, the car will stop and that's about it. I've been thinking of adding a brake overhaul to my list of near future mods, but don't know if it's all too possible for my year and model. I have a 04 Base TL with stock calipers and rotors. But I want to change them out for a new kit. I've heard of the Brembo swap, but that sounds like a PITA, then I found threads for the Wilwood setup and RL Retrofit.

Basically I just want to know what my options are to switch out my brakes and rotors without having to change a million and five different things as well.

Again sorry for the noobish question!!!

I did some searches but I did not get any clear info.


Was wondering if someone could point me to a post or a document or any info that shows all the codes and/or mirrored codes for all the lights in the TL-08's.


I need to replace some burnt lights and wanted to put in some LED's. I just want to make sure I am buying the correct sizes that will fit in properly.

97 RL str8 flush aux and usb

Okay...so doing some mods when I get all my parts...was about to get a lightning cable input to replace the CD changer in the back of the radio, but instead opted for a 3.5mm Jack and a usb port the will be flush (female inputs) that will be flush mounted in the middle button that is blank in the non-navi RL's. Think this is gonna be big pimpin. Im a rook at this website so can't post the link but I will after my 15 days.

Not much to it....they even have a Bluetooth adapter, which IMO is just a phase...at least for listening to music. 3.5mm jack is the best hands down, no comparision....c'mon people you have a alpine head with bose speakers! get this for the hook up. Not very many mods to go through just need to be careful on the disassembly.

Aux input for MP3 player

I have been using a Scotsch? transmitter to connect a MP3 player to the stock stereo in my '06 TL. It works but drives me crazy as local stations start to cause interference. I always seem to be looking for empty stations.

Is there a simple way to add an auxiliary jack to allow direct connection? My wife's 2011 Nissan 370Z has one and it works great. Of course it needs an USB charger to keep the MP3 player charged.

I am not an electronics wizard and the car is now 9 years old so I don't plan to make a big upgrade in stereo equipment.

Any ideas?

Hey, I'm new to this but i've been curious if anyone on here has bagged their tsx. I would like to know if the brand and what not. I've been debating on the management too and also if i should do bag over coils but I hear I may run into problems...Any thoughts?
Im currently on megan coil overs and I love them but I think it might be time for a change.

2008 transmission whine

Hello, new to the forums but have been following the site for a while. The site has been very helpful. I have an 08 base, 65k miles and have a slight whine at lower speeds (seems like transmission), is this normal? It's done this since I purchased the car at 60k miles. I've done a 1x3 trans fluid swap so far at 63k-made no difference in whine. I used honda dw1.

I tried searching and didn't find what I was looking for. If there is a thread could you post the link?

Also, is there a link to a DIY for trans pressure switches? Found one for 04-06 but not 07-08.

    Hey all, I have a set of oem acura 2004-2005 tl oem ballast plus ignitors, I've had them since 2008 when I worked at acura, just found them sitting in a box in my tool box, last I remember they were in perfect working condition. The customer came in complaining his ballast were bad when it was just the bulb so we replaced all parts, so I kept these to eventually sell and then forgot about them lol so I see these go for about 100 + each, I'll do 100 shipped for both plus paypal fees

    I currently own a 2011 TL and am interested in the new TLX. However, I have not driven or even seen a TLX in person. Has anyone seen the 0-60 times for either the 4 or the 6?
