i just had my 04TL equipped with isimple ISHD571. how ever i dont know the function of the plug labeled USB. it looked like a connecting plug to something but i have no idea to which device.

Clunking noise from front end...
I am in the process of fixing up a 2005 RL I recently bought. I work for a Honda dealer and bought it at the auction. Anyway, there is a clunking noise in the front end. Almost always the noise I am hearing is caused by sway bar links. I checked them and they appear to be fine. What else could be causing the clunking noise? Could the sway bar links be bad even knowing they appear to be ok? This is a heavy car so maybe when the weight of the car is on the links versus having it in the air it is hard to diagnosis.

Linear Pressure Solenoid Gasket PLZ HELP
okay I have never been a gasket kind of guy I finally mastered the oil pan but this stupid solenoid on the top of my bell housing is killing me.
Its the dual pressure solenoid on top underneath the manifold
I've replaced 2 gaskets and for some reason it is still leaking bad. The first I'm sure I crushed the gasket the second one I researched and downloaded my manual and it states 8.7ftlbs of torque so I tightened this time enough to get it locked down AND I used high temp gasket silicone 👎👎👎 maybe I overtightened again my torque wrench will not register that low
Has anybody else dealt with this? I heard it is VERY common on these garbage trannys

Awful noise from 08 TL Type S!
Hey fellow AZiners,
I have an awful noise coming out of the driver's side of my Type S. It only happens when the brakes are applied and I'm slowing down to a complete stop. I thought it was the brakes at first since it only happened when braking but I took it to two different mechanics (one which specializes in Honda/Acuras) and a brake specialist. Both mechanics said that my brakes were in great condition and didn't need to be changed.
Now for a little background on the car, it is unfortunately a salvage car. The car was fixed by private dealer that I have used in the past with no problems. I later took the car to a body shop because the Acura specialist noticed that there was damage to the frame of the car. When the body shop guys looked at it they noticed that the engine cradle mounts had been damaged and moved to adjust the alignment on the car. I was quoted $2800 to fix the mounts and replace the parts, but with no guarantee that the noise would stop.
I have attached a short audio clip of the noise to make it easier. If any of you guys could possibly help me out and let me know exactly whats wrong and what can be done and cost would be great. Sorry I'm not a big technical guy so I'm explaining things as I've been told.

Why So Many RL/RLX Problems?
Let me start by saying that I am very loyal to the Honda/Acura brand (Over the years I've purchased a Civic, 4 Accords, a TL, and now a ZDX), but one thing I've noticed is the constant complaints about problems with the RL and now RLX. Why can't Acura seem to get its flagship sedan right? I am a frequent visitor to all of these forums and while the TL, MDX, RDX, ZDX, ILX, and TSX owners discuss a few problems, it still seems like the RL and RLX come with more issues. Back in 2009, I came close to buying a new RL, but opted for a new TL Shawd Tech instead. When I was in the market again for a new vehicle I considered a '14 RLX Advance (the interior is gorgeous and I love all the tech), but once again did not buy and opted for a new '13 ZDX. My Z now has 11,400 miles and has been problem free (not so much as even a rattle). Probably helps that the 2013 is the last model and Acura has had enough time to work out all the kinks. I'm saying all this just to say that I am such a fan of the RLX and the possibility of me buying one in the future is still there. I just hope Acura can get it together, especially when it comes to what is supposed to be their flagship sedan.

Trunk Rust Bubbles!
Does anyone else have this problem on the lower part of their trunk? I have been doing anything i possibly can to stop them. I have put undercoating on the inside of the trunk lip and tried spraying rustoleum down in the inside of the trunk and continuously applying Acura scratch fix paint over top and they are just spreading down the line :whyme: I'm not sure what to do to stop it or if a shop can. I feel I just may need a new trunk lid in a few years :yuck:
