Picture of 07-08 Base TL with just the front A-Spec lip?
Like the title says, I'm contemplating ordering just the front A-Spec lip for my TL. Reason being, I'd really like to keep my mud guards. Does anyone have a picture of a TL (preferably 07-08 and WDP) with just the front installed?

Hard to Shift above 6500 RPM
So recently I've noticed that when I try to shift above 6500 RPM I am getting a lot of resistance when pulling it into gear (this happens practically at all gear levels i.e 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th). It's different than the common 3rd gear problem where it feels like it hits a wall. While normal shifting, there is absolutely no resistance and easily slides into the next gear.
I figured it wouldn't hurt to change the MTF and see if that helped ( I changed it around 70K miles and now Im at 96k miles). While normal shifting did feel slightly improved, I was still having the same problem.
I am inclined to think the synchros are bad, but find it really hard to believe that all of them would be experiencing the same symptoms. I'd also like to note that there is no grinding at all.
Im kinda lost as to what's going on, and my warranty expires in 10 days lol. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears!

Radio doesn't turn on sometimes
Sometimes when its really hot my radio doesn't turn on.. I can change the volume and channels on it but no sound comes out. Then after like 15 minutes of driving the sound comes on. This doesn't happen when its like 80 degrees outside. Can anyone tell me why?

Lowering Springs
I am looking for lowering my car, there is not enough money to go to coilovers and I dont want that much of a drop either since its daily driven. Wanted to know if I buy the springs would it be necessary to change my shocks as well? Also which brand are the "best" I have seen good reviews for tein and H&R .

Who Else Has A Bluetooth Speaker?
Just curious since there are so many out there now ranging in so many sizes and in price. My coworker bought the UE Boom and said it wasn't bad, but I wasn't thrilled with it. I ended up with the Bose SoundLink Mini the other day and I think it's great since it's so small and puts out great sound. Brought it in to work since I stopped at Best Buy before going in and a few people said they want one (receptionist was fascinated about using it with her iPad). I know people bash Bose, but I have it pretty much for everything and can't complain about any of them.

Battery Drain Help
Good Morning All
So I have been driving the TL consistently for the last 2 weeks - parked it after work (around 6) came back out to the car around 10 pm to leave and it turned over slow! Thought it was me so I killed it and started it again. (still slow). Parked car left hazards on for 2 minutes. Turn key to start and the car is dead! Clicking and lights flashing but no turn over.
So I research online about this HFL issue. Go out to car with same symptoms - clicking and flashing lights but no start. I then un-plugged the HFL. Re-installed and for kicks turned the key over. Car starts up very slowly. Second attempt the car starts up a little slow - third time it starts up normal. Come back 2 minutes later and the car starts slow again.
Anyone experience similar symptoms?
Is my battery now weak because the bad HFL was draining it?
Are there any reasons not to leave the HFL disconnected?

OEM Quads
I recently just had bought a NBP base 07 TL, had it for a month and whatever. I Just sold it and bought a 2007 6MT Type-S (will post pictures soon).
The Type-S came with these two ugly fart cans. I've bee searching and searching for OEM Quad tips but can't find any place that sell them other than buying an entire exhaust system from the dealer or whatever. Any ideas to find these tips? I also need mufflers but I think i'll order the magna flows.
I am open to aftermarket Quad tips but they have to be staggered or similar to the OEMs. Just don't have the $$$ to dish out for ATLP's or anything.

Gen 1 Horsepower
I currently own a 1998 RL with 210k miles. I've found a 1 owner 2003 with only 71k miles, but it does not seem to have as much power as my 98 while it is rated 15 HP more. I have not taken it to a mechanic to check it out yet, but was wondering if any one has knowledge or experience with the different model years of Gen 1.
Also, while idling in Park, you can hear and feel a "click" in the shifter console when you step on the brake. Any idea what that might be?

New owner checking in!
Someone crashed into my 08 TL-S and totaled it and I picked up a 2013 TL-AWD 6MT! So far I'm loving it! planning on getting it tinted up among other things.

harmonic balancer in 07 tl
my harmonic balancer in 07 tl went bad ...I want to replace it but should I go with stock or the light weight performance crank pulley ...need some feedback ..thank u

Unique Dealer Installed Options
When shopping for a 2014 TL a few months back I called the local dealer asking if they could match the best price from another dealer.
They said yes but their TL would be $120 more because it had "luggage protection".
Trunk tray I asked? No, no, no noooo... Turns out luggage protection is strip of clear bra @ 6 by 30 inch's located on the bumper just under the trunk. Not really anything most would want but nice upsell on the TL
This left me wondering what creative dealer installed options others have run into.

RSB Endlink nut removal help
Bought a TL-S RSB a couple of weeks ago for a minor upgrade that seemed straight forward install. Ran into some issue with the endlink nuts that are seized like f*ck. :ugh:
These are the things I already tried:
- PB blast the nut a couple of days before the install and during the install
- Torch the sucker to heat up the nut about a min or so, didn't want to heat to transfer to the plastic or rubber around the endlinks
I believe the bolt suppose to move that why you need a allen wrench, but my didn't even move. So it must be extremely rusted.

Any idea? before I either dremel the nuts off hopefully wont damage the thread or just paid get it done.
