Question about the RDX battery?

What is the capacity of the battery? With all the electronics in this vehicle i fear the battery dying on me. In my 05 TL it happened a few times, so this is something that worries me.

I figured out how to turn the screen off and i shut off the lights as soon as I turn the car.

Here's my process when shopping for OEM parts. I've bought a couple aftermarket items, but usually stick with OEM if the final price differential isn't significant.
  • Check online Acura/Honda dealer
    • Usually, offering parts at a decent discount over retail.
    • I start with the Acura search engine on the dealer site.
      • I'll get a part number and then search the internet for that same part number.
        • That usually gets me a "fits xyz car" list. Noted.
        • Usually, mechanical parts are used on a Honda, somewhere.
      • I'll then search for the same part number (identical) under the Honda vehicle in the Honda/Acura site.
        • Surprise, surprise.. Same part number from same site is usually 10-15% less expensive, just because I selected an Odyssey instead of a TL.
  • Local Acura parts department
    • Usually it's retail :/
  • Local Honda parts department
    • Usually it's retail. :/ but less!
  • Amazon or general web search.
I'll order what makes sense to be able to receive in my desired timeframe.

I haven't tried counter offering locally, or getting them to price match yet.

Anyone have any luck getting online prices locally?
Anyone have your own set of tips?

I don't mind spending a few more dollars for OEM, but why pay retail?!

2017 MDX rear bumper trim replacement

Hey guys! Couple of weeks ago someone hit my car while it was parked and snapped the plastic trim in the rear bumper that holds the exhaust decorative pieces. I already bought the replacement part (Garnish, Rear Bumper Face Skid - Acura (71510-TZ5-A10), and i just started, but i dont see how to remove the trim itself... Do i have to remove the rear bumper? Or can the rear trim be removed by itself and it is held in place by the strongest clips known to man???

Like the title says, looking for a set, or possibly individual sides, of 07-08 Base TL lights.

I am not interested if any corners are chipped at all, and the lens must be in good shape with no deep scratches.

Let me know now what you have and how much you are looking to get for them. I will 98% probably need them shipped.

RDX PIDs

Wonder if any geeks can help me with fine tuning my OBD monitor. Is there a list of PIDs that are known good for a 2019 RDX? I have a OBDII wifi plug, and using two different apps on an iphone. Many of the PIDs in the apps do not work. I assume that the list will be very close to any vehicle that has a 2L VTEC turbo in it. It seems all I do is hunt around for a few that work. I am looking for turbo info (oil temp, turbo speed, inlet and outlet temps, wastegate info, etc), temperatures, and a bunch of others.
Anyone have a list? or someone have a fav app? I currently am using Dashcmd and OBDFusion.

Button Inside Fuel Filler Door?

First trip to the gas station today for our new RDX. Had a little trouble getting the filler nozzle fully inserted, saw that little button to the right of the filler opening. Pushed it and it popped out, pushed it again and it popped back in. What the heck is that?! Nothing in the owners manual about it.

Weld Aftermarket Mufflers on Stock Exhaust System?

I’m looking to upgrade the stock exhaust setup on my TSX by welding on new mufflers (looking at magnaflows right now), does anyone know what kind of results I will get from that? I tried looking on YouTube for sound clips but I couldn’t find any with that exact setup. I’m looking to get:
1. A deep rumble (I dislike high pitched exhausts and raspiness)
2. A good level of sound that is louder than stock, but nowhere near being obnoxiously loud
3. Large tips for an aggressive look

Anyone who has done something like this, what results did you get? I understand that it will be harder to achieve a deep rumble on a 4 cylinder without getting a full exhaust system. Any sound clips, feedback, or advice on what exhaust mods to do to achieve those 3 goals would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How much rear tow adjustment is there factory

So I lowered my TL the other day on coilovers and went to do the alignment, but the rear toe bolts are frozen. To make matters worse the person before rounded the heads off, so I'm looking to replace the rear arms. I'm sure I won't be able to drive the bolt out, so it's all gonna need replaced. My question is how much factory toe adjustment is there? I'm .52 out on the right rear and I have an "X" for the left rear so I'm assuming that is more than .75, would factory non adjustable arms and the cam bolt bring me in or should I go with heeltoe's spc adjustable arms that do 3.0?

Clutch mystery

I have recently replaced my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. However my clutch pedal still feels light. Under acceleration, the let out point for the pedal changes and the pedal feels stiffer. Sometimes after accelerating or coming off the interstate, I have to pump the pedal to get the car out of gear or into gear.
These symptoms occurred before replacing the master and slave cylinder as well. The clutch does not slip under acceleration or going up hills.

Does anyone have an idea on this or experience with this?

The pig tail coming from car harness broke an 2 of the 4 wires came out of the Clip so my Question is could someone please tell or show me the wire/color diagram so can repin its for (Bank 1 before Cat)

I've done a search and read the threads on CM. My question as I consider buying a 2016 RDX is, should I look for one with the collision mitigation? Or is the technology too new still?

12 year old original clear bra removal

My 2007 acura tl type-s came with the front end factory clear bra option when i purchased it, over the years it has clearly faded to the point where i want to remove it and replace it. Will removing such a old clear bra show paint underneath that looks different from the areas that didn't have clear bra on them? Anyone have any experiences removing such an old clear bra?

auto gear selector button

I have a 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD. The auto shifter lock button that you press to put in gear has started to hang up. Has anyone had this issue previously. I am a little worried it may not allow me to put in gear if it gets any worse. If anyone knows how to repair please advise.

No A/C, ticking when warm

I recently bought a 2008 acura tl without ac and with a slight coolant leak from the radiator. I tried jumping the compressor to see if the clutch would engage and got nothing so I figured that was all that was wrong with the ac. Put a new compressor and radiator in and while I can jump it, it wont engage by itself. the fuse and relay are good but I dont get power at the mg clutch fuse in the under hood box. Also now I have a new problem in that when the car warms up for a minute or two I can hear a ticking sound. No idea where to start from this point and I cant find any problems with solutions online so any ideas are appreciated.

Beep Noise

I have a 2019 RDX. When I turn the car off most often there is a solid beep noise. Sometimes it will break up a little but most times it's solid. It's not consistent.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
