2003 Acura 1.7EL Touring Sedan Tires

So i purchased this car back in November and it included winter tires on steel 15" rims, and also a set of summer tires, which i just checked the size as the summer tires are bald, and turns out they are 17" rims, the tires are 205/40Zr17 84H
So my question is, according to the door panel recommended is 185/65r15 89H
If i put these other tires on the car is this going to effect my Mileage? I always thought you could only go 1" up or down on the size of rim.

Or is it because you are going from 65 down to 40 and going from 185 to 205 this compensates for things?

according to wheel size site it shows

195/55R15 91H6Jx15 ET454x1002.1
205/50R16 91H6.5Jx16 ET454x1002.1
205/45ZR17 89W7Jx17 ET424x1002.3
will fit on the car

Thanks

Hello,

I have a question concerning the phone. I received a call today to confirm an appointment by entering a number 1,2,3,4 etc.

How do I respond with a number? (No keypad that I can see) I don't see that option on the headup display. I don't see an easy way
to enter a number. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Roy

2019 MDX ASpec - Black/Black

I had previously written here that I was undecided on getting another RDX (Have a 2017 RDX), and my Wife has a 2014 RDX. I test drove the RDX and although I liked it, I think I was looking for bigger and smoother, and a V6. I also tested the 2019 Honda Pilot Black Edition. Lot's to like about this vehicle with things you cannot get on the Acura's (wireless charging), and I had to go up to the top of the line RDX to git the kick the bumper to open up the rear hatch. MDX does not have this at any trim level or a panoramic sunroof available which is on the Pilot Black edition and all RDXs. That said, the Pilot is too rough and van like, but that panoramic sunroof is nice.

Anyway, after I tested the RDX/Pilot and MDX, I chose the MDX. I have had the MDX in the past (04/06), but they were more the size of the RDX, but great vehicles. It's hard to justify getting a Pilot when the MDX, with their current rebates and low interest rater (.9%) was about the same price. The RDX, with no rebates and a higher interest rate was close to the price of the MDX ( a bit less), with the pricing of the 19 RDX being higher this year.

I asked my dealer to eat the last 2 months of my lease on my 17 RDX and although not necessarily interested they ended up coming through. I get it tomorrow and am excited to get back in this vehicle. I am older now and am ready for a more luxurious vehicle.

2019 MDX ASpec

I have written here in the past, about buying this vehicle, but was also testing the RDX and Honda Pilot Black edition. I liked all of the vehicles but ultimately decided the Pilot was to van like, and bumpy, the RDX too sporty for this 56 year old and the MDX was just what I was looking for, smooth, quiet, powerful, V6, and great looking in thee ASpec trim, that coupled with the rebates and low interest rates. The cost between the Pilot and MDX were very close. RDX pricing has increased, interest rates are higher, and no rebates, but a bit less than the MDX. I have had an MDX in the past (04/06), but they were more the size of the RDX.

I asked my dealer to eat the last 2 months of my 17 RDX Elite lease, which they were initially reluctant to do, but came through. I get my Black on Black tomorrow.

Looking forward to getting it.

Transmission mounts - need some help

I recently replaced my motor mounts, once that was done there was a vibration coming from the engine that wasn't there before, I had assumed that because the mounts were fixed the transmission mounts were now in need of replacement and taking all the vibration thus causing more vibration than normal.
I bought a transmission mount, front upper for 24.99 with hopes that the more expensive mount was fine.
I got the mount, tore the car apart and for the life of me I can't find the mount. I did however find the lower more expensive mount and it's shot so there is that.
for our car, are there two mounts? I also found a couple other mounts that I have no idea what they are for but seem to be in need of replacement.
Any help would be appreciated.

Blend Door Actuator

So I did the DIY on the blend door actuator. It fixed it for a few weeks but now it's dead again. I think the old one has just died. I went to order one from Rockauto, but it doesn't show the arm sticking out the other side. Is this the right part? The OEM Acura one is 250, so I would rather not spend that kind of money. The car is a 2000, if that helps.

2018 Acura RDX AcuraLink problems

I am having problems with my 2018 Acura RDX with Elite package. Navigation does not work all the time. AcuraLink works sometimes but not always.

I contacted the dealer 4 times and sent emails to the manufacturer several times and they opened 5 case files, but, never did anything.

My question is does AcuraLink have a software problem that works intermittently.

Thanks for your response.

CL vs. CL-S brake calipers

I hate this to be my first post here but... Long story short just did a total brake job (calipers/rotors/pads) on my 01 CL and totaled it 2000 mi later thanks to ice and a guard rail. I'm thinking about getting a second gen CL-S and keeping the CL as a parts car. Do the CL-S and CL share the same size calipers/pads? I'm only asking because there's a lifetime warranty with the calipers and 9 months with the pads and I'd like to keep that in tact to save some money, if they're different I'm just going to go for another CL.

I am the second owner of this car, which has only 83,000 miles. Carbon Bronze Pearl exterior with two tone black/grey leather interior, 5-speed automatic, and zero modifications. Car is in excellent overall condition and just had the timing belt/water pump/spark plug service last fall-receipts are available. Clean/clear title in hand. I just ran a Carfax and AutoCheck and would be happy to provide serious parties both reports. This car has zero accident history and VIN tags are present on all body panels. Price is $11,500. Sorry, no trades.

I'm not on the forum much, so it's best to contact me via email at: cmeyer@myomnitel.com Thanks.

Has anyone attempted to install the roof rails themselves? Dealer wants an obscene amount of money to do this, so was wondering if this is a potential DIY project. Thanks.

Well how much extra would you guys be willing to pay for a Type-S? I am considering waiting for them to come out. I hope in a few years since I really don't need a new car now. But how much more would you expect them to be? What are we estimating about 350 HP?

How high is too high for PSI?

Hello

Purchased Certified Acura ILX Premium 2016 in January and received low tire pressure (temps were in the teens). Adhered to the side of the door panel for the PSI and inflated tires to 35/33. Original Michelin tires on car.

As the temps rise I am noticing the tire pressure go up to 39/40 range on front tires and about 37/38 on back tires. Should I be concerned of potential balding of the tires with this high pressure or is this not even considered high pressure?

Thanks in advance

Service "3" is due but Transmission replaced 25k Miles ago

$

Hi all,

My 2015 TLX V6 FWD recently popped up the full house of Maintenance Minder services: A123 shortly after passing 50,000 miles.

The "3" service involves replacing the transmission fluid. At $36 a quart (and needing to order 4 quarts for a flush) I am not super eager to order the fluid given that I had the transmission replaced at 28,855 miles. (BTW, all 2015 owners of the ZF9 should have this done! The difference is night and day.)

I'm assuming I can go another 25k miles before changing the transmission fluid, but how do I re-sync the maintenance minder with the actual mileage? Or should I just suck it up and flush and fill the transmission fluid now?

Thanks!
