Has anyone replaced an A/T shift switch and gearshift lever detent bracket assembly

I had my car at a transmission shop because the engine light was on and they told me that the A/T shift switch and gearshift lever detent bracket assembly had to be replaced. They said it was an $870 part. I talked to the dealer and they said there are three parts that would have to replaced if the transmission shop was correct but they haven't looked at the car yet. The parts are:

39550-S01-A01 which is a solenoid assy. at shift lock
54020-S0K-A82 which is a bracket base
54200-S0K-A92 which is the bracket detent

From the diagram they appear to be separate parts and they are purchased separately. Does anyone know if I can just replace the bracket dent assembly or if I have to replace all 3 parts. Also, is it simply plug and play or does the assembly have to be calibrated after it's installed? After I do install the part is there a way to clear the check engine light?
