Good afternoon! I figured that I would make a thread, since I have spent a lot of time researching on AcuraZine lately. I bought my Anthracite Metallic CL-S 6MT Navigation with 141,141 miles in March 2011.
When I got the CL, she needed a LOT of love. I have always wanted a CL-S 6MT since I got my license in 2003, however, so I was ready and willing to take on the challenge. After going through the entire undercarriage and engine bay, two years later, the CL absolutely purrs at 171,xxx.
March 2011, right after I got the CL.
June 2011, Summit Point Motorsports Park.
October 2011, with one of my Integra GS-Rs.
August 2012, Tail of the Dragon.
People occasionally tell me that I should lower the CL, but let me immediately quell that thought. This is my third car, the daily driver of the bunch, and I live just outside Washington, DC so the roads are terrible. I simply do not desire to have a lowered daily driver.
Fortunately, the timing belt service was done just a hair before 170,000 miles so, since the car is up to par in terms of maintenance, it is time for performance. Now, we are about to go into the summer of 2013 and I have a few ideas that I have been kicking around inside my head.
I installed a CT Engineering Icebox last year. I want to install the CT Engineering headers that I have, but want to figure out the rest of the setup as well so that I can knock it all out at once. What I am after is a more free flowing setup, so I am thinking of a a high flow cat and a 22" Magnaflow resonator. I am curious to hear your thoughts on that.
Before I end this, I want to share the contents of the 2003 Acura 3.2 CL Press Information CD with you all so, if you are up for a fun and informative read, you can download it here. http://rapidshare.com/files/3101069060/2003%20CL.zip Have a nice day!
