Hey Y'all,
Ive been thinking about removing the front license plate frame on my car for a cleaner look. Been wanting to do this since I bought it, especially after seeing others without one.
Before committing, I took the plate off to see what was underneath. Unfortunately, its not just mounted into the standard bumper plug holestheres also an extra hole drilled near the top of the bumper. On top of that, one of the license plate screws slightly punctured the bumper paint on the driver's side, leaving a small mark.
My current plan is to use bumper plugs (or possibly DIY some with touch-up paint) for the original holes. But Im unsure what to do about the third hole. Should I:
Use Bondo or another type of filler?
Just cover it with a third bumper plug?
Take it to a shop for a more professional repair?
Also, any tips for cleaning up the area and minimizing the screw mark would be super helpful.
Ive never done any kind of bodywork or hole-filling before, so beginner-friendly advice is much appreciated.
