After 23-1/2 years and 232,000 miles I said goodbye to my trusty 2092 TL.
it has been an amazing car.
I never once had to add oil between oil changes.
it only gave me trouble twice; once it wouldnt start (dead battery) and once the MAF sensor went on the fritz.
other than routine maintenance I had very few repairs. The transmission was the buggy; but the original lasted 200k miles. The hot/cold air mixer failed. The interior rear-view mirror was replaced before it started to leak. The backlight for the clock burned out. Airbag inflators and seatbelt reels were replaced at no cost on recalls.
in the end the ECU started giving me failure codes on cold mornings. Then the radiator started leaking.
When I found a good deal on a Lexus RX and I knew it was time to move on.
So the Acura will be used at the local high school in their auto repair program.
The great advice I got all along on this Forum was wonderful. I thank all contributors past and present for your sage advice.
Best wishes to all and to all a fond farewell!
