Hi everyone,
My name is Mark, and I just got a 98 Acura CL, but first Ill give you a little background on myself. I'm about to become a senior in college at the University of Central Florida (the largest craziest awesome college in the states 60,000+ students now). I am a marketing major, and I am also into digital media. I really enjoy graphic design and photography now and then, but cars are my passion.
I started off getting a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu for my birthday, we essentially got the car for the price of the motor, and it was uphill from there.
Here was the car when I first got it, (and no idea what I was going with designing stuff, i didnt know what graphic design even was at that point.
The paint started getting bad, and I wanted to start to make it a little "sportier"
I decided to go the "muscle car" route for a bit, and built this 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 350, dual exhaust... had a lot of plans for that car, but I just ran out of time, and eventually had to sell it
The malibu started to evolve (headlights/tail lights/ custom paint)
The car stayed stagnate with its look from my senior year of h/s to my junior year of college (3-4 months ago). I was in a turning lane and someone decided that they wanted to share it with me. The insurance money, plus some I had saved up helped my progress to my more mature 2 tone paint job.
I really hadnt even had it long enough to take a real set of pictures with it yet, I only had it 2-3 weeks with the new paint job, and on easter mistakes were made and I got t-boned trying to get home from work and completely destroyed the car.
Luckily I had full coverage, and was able to get a new car. I just picked this up the other day... its ugly for the time being but it only has 88,000 miles on it! and it picked it up for only $3100. I dont plan to put a ton of money in the car for the time being, but a few mods here and there and maybe a paint job this summer and it should be good to go!
Thanks for the long read! hope to hear from everyone soon! :)
