My CL has always run on the cool side -- gauge never above 1/3. Now it's running even cooler per the gauge. I think the gauge is reading true because it takes much longer than it used to to get anything out of the heater. I suspect the thermostat is stuck open. Also the mileage is down although the engine starts and runs fine. Should I just change the thermostat? Can I do it myself (have some skill and experience and plenty of tools, but if it's too messy I'd rather pay somebody.) What temp rating of thermostat should I get? Thanks.
