Long story short: I bought a 2001 CL Type S a few weeks ago with 132K miles. I had to replace struts, power steering pump, 4 tires, all fluids changed (Honda), few coils and probably a couple other things. I have about $4000 into the car (including what I paid for it). I did not know about the tranny problems with Acura (my fault). I drove it home 65 miles or so at 65mph. As I was coming up my hill it started to whine and not be in gear. Then it went back into gear. The next time I drove the car, I started it and put it into 5th and it just started to whine. Then I got in back into gear. Issue is, I have $4k into it as I speak. I'm having the tranny looked at Monday. If it needs a new tranny, do I just sell it as it is and take a huge loss or just get the tranny if needed?
