I have a 1997 acura cl 3.0 with 170k miles and recently I have noticed a knocking sound coming from the pulley side of the engine. The sound only occurs about 10 mins after warming up. the sound doesn't seem to be metal on metal and is not a pinging noise. It sounds more like a dampened knock. It is most noticeable at the lowest rpms and doesn't get louder as it is revved but just speeds up. I took off the alternator belt thinking it could be a loose pulley but no luck. the timing belt and water pump was done at about 150k miles if that helps. anyone have any ideas of what this could be? Thanks
