So I have 2001 3.2 Acura Cl-S automatic. It has one of the fewer sundance pearl paint jobs which makes this car look new all the time. So on thursday, I got into an accident where my front fender and hood are pretty badly damaged. It was estimated to be 4 grand in new parts as the body shop apparently cannot find any parts used right now. The cl at this point has 160,000 miles on it but ran golden and was an amazing car. I want to get the most out of this car as possible. Fixing just does not seem like an option unless I bring it to a junk shop in the NYC area and get one of those shit holes to BS fix it for cheap. I was able to drive the car home from the shop to my house which was not far but the tire was rubbing the inner fender.. Now I have a 2001 CL-S unable to be driven in front of my house... I was thinking about parting the car out as I know alot of people put these engines into smaller cars. That also takes alot of work and tools... Is it a lost cause? A salvage shop is offering me around 400 dollars for it which in my eyes is pathetic. That engine in that car had so much power even though it was stock CL-S with intake but I cannot get rid of it for only 400 dollars... Should I throw it up on craigslist as is for like 1200? It has brand new tires on it which is like 800 alone..Ugh...Sigh...What a major bummer. My car of 7 yrs is no longer a part of me..
