I was talking to an old friend today who told me that he still has his 1994 Acura Legend as a daily driver. 515,000 miles and counting, be it with lots of repairs, but it is still with the original engine, and transmission! Full disclosure, when I say a "lot of repairs" that means just about replacing every suspension component at least once, rust repair in the wheel arches and rocker panels, several new windshields, some electronic bits here and there, countless tires and sets of brakes, and a worn out driver seat belt. He just loves the car and has no interest in replacing it anytime soon.
However........ Then I told him about my new ride. And that peaked his interest. We are getting together over the weekend and he asked to drive it. The OCD in me screams no way, but we have been friends for more than 30 years so that trumps all else. I will report back about his impressions.
