Yesterday evening I found a snow covered wide open parking lot to experiment on how the car reacts to the VSA being turned off. It was a lot of fun, but I noticed something that I would like your clarification on. I discovered that when I am in Eco mode and the petrol engine is off but the EV mode is on, as soon as I turn off the VSA on the dash, the engine fires. When I turn the VSA back on, the engine stops and goes back into EV mode. So my question is the following: When the VSA is off is that really Sport mode without the dash light to accompany it, or is some third mode that I did not know about? If it is not in Eco or Sport modes, what mode is it in when the VSA is off? Other than the traction management being partially off since the rear torque vectoring is still happening with the EV motors in the back, what else is unique to this mode that is not in the ECO or Sport modes? I hope my question makes sense. Any ideas?
