I have been struggling with a nav issue for about a year now where my on screen icon freezes up. It rotates accordingly if I'm making a turn but does not move forward...it snaps out of the freeze and the icon jumps around but then eventually is placed correctly. My first thought was gps antenna was bad. I've since ruled that out.
I was at a complete loss until today when I went into the diagnostics settings and then changed the yaw rate settings from auto adjustment ON to OFF. The positioning of the icon was good...but as I drove it became slightly off but the freezing didn't occur for the longest time since i remember seeing this. When it eventually froze I went back into the setting and turned the auto adjustment on (while driving) and it immediately unfroze and put me back right where I should be.
My understanding of the yaw sensor has always been in association to the VSA...but can it be that it has influence on the navigation as well?
Id love any insight!
Cheers
