Hello guys I want to put a new exhaust system on my 2003 TL-S. (I know another exhaust system thread, just please bear with me). I don't currently have the money to get a full cat-back exhaust so I was looking into just doing an axle-back. I know that there are no real performance gains to doing it this way, I'm purely just after the looks and sound. After doing some research on here and on the all-mighty Google, I have narrowed down two options as to what to do; should I do what was suggested in the other thread posted on here to just go with straight pipes and leave the mid-muffler and resonator on? Or should I do a mid-muffler and resonator delete and put on a new pair of back mufflers? I've seen the videos of the straight pipes and to be honest they weren't really loud enough for my personal taste. I don't want anything obnoxiously loud, but still something I can hear while driving, while not sounding too "ricey". I'm going to a custom shop to get the work done because I really don't want to have to wait for the mufflers to ship (yes, I know I'm impatient). I'm getting conflicting messages about which one I should go with and wanted to see if your guys' input could help sway me one way or the other.
I'm posting this at 2:45am California time, so I will check back later in the afternoon to see what you guys say. Thanks in advance.
