Want to replace my 20D

So, it's been collecting dust lately, my iphone has become my main camera for about 2-3 years.

I'm ready to get back into things again with the kids growing so fast.


I'm looking for something that's better then my 20D, but also don't want to spend much, maybe $500 for a body only. I don't mind buying used at all.


Video would also be nice.


What do you guys recommend? Would a Rebel T5 be an upgrade? Should I go and spend some more then I'm planning and do a 70D? or maybe a 60D?
