Hey acurazine!
I've come back to seek some more advice on my car! This time it's a flat tire problem. Long story short, roads of Manhattan have a lot of crap on it, one of them caused a huge slice in the tread of my right front tire. Hoping I could wait a few days to see what my options are about tire replacement, the tire gave out on me on a quick errand. My father, a very stubborn person wants to only replace one tire. Reading other threads a lot of recommendations are to replace 2 on the same axle or 4 altogether. What can I essentially get away with as money is tight right now and I'm hoping I can get away with a 2 tire replacement. Would I have to shave it down? A lot of my friends are against it. Mind you I've driven about 28k miles on these tires, so the SHAWD unbalanced tire problem is at the back of my mind. I have the OEM Goodyear Eagle RS-A's. Any advice is appreciated!!!
