Lubricating the Window Regulator

My window has developed a squeak/rubbing sound when I roll it down. Knowing about the problems people have been experiencing with regulators breaking, I would like to lubricate the slider to prevent this if possible.

Can someone who has pulled theirs apart tell me how accessible the regulator is without pulling it out of the door? Can I lubricate it in place after just removing the door panel and the plastic barrier?
