Hello -
I recently bought a used 2005 6MT TL and need clarification on the problem I will run into with the factory brembo's up front....
Are people running into the issue that the face of the wheel is hitting / rubbing on the caliper? Or is it that some manufacturers of aftermarket rims inner diameter of the rim hitting / rubbing on the caliper?
I know that the factory TL rims are:
17x8 +45 with 235 45 17 tires.
I wanted to stick with the 17" diameter but go with a set up like this...
17x9 +35 with 235 45 17 tires.
Where I live, the roads are not forgiving and I don't really want to go 18". I am currently stock height but plan on lowering it with either H&R springs or a full coilover set since the car does have 115k and I am not sure if the factory shocks have ever been changed.
I was looking at these...
