Check engine light came on a few days a go, so I took my TL to a nearby auto parts store to pull codes. Ended up pulling a P0134 code, meaning that my bank 1 sensor 1 was having issues. After swapping in a new, aftermarket 02 sensor, my engine will NOT start and there are heaps of strange electrical issues going on when I put the ignition on accessory. If I use the windows, the navi screen will start flashing and the interiors lights will flash as well. Turning on the AC or heat will prompt the fuel gauge arrow to drop down to E and will return back to normal spot when I turn off the air. There are a bunch of other weird things, but really only when I press certain buttons. I have no problem turning on my headlights, interior lights, or anything like that. Going into accessory works fine, but as soon as I start pressing things or actually attempting to start the engine is when the weird things happen. When I try to start the engine, the dashboard flickers rapidly, and I can hear a sound that I can only describe as a machine gun coming from somewhere in the car. I'm not a very experienced car person, and I am not a mechanic by any means. With that being said, I forgot to disconnect the battery before performing the sensor replacement. All fuses look okay. All wires I had disconnected were reconnected when I re-attached the tower strut bar above the O2 sensor I was replacing. I know the problem isn't with the sensor, so what could it be? Did I fry my ECU somehow? I have reset the ECU and let the battery sit for a while disconnected with no positive results.
