On my 2015 RDX,I have noticed that the passenger-side dash surface has several long bumps that go across the whole thing. In the right light,it looks like the surf coming in off the ocean.
When I bought it,the dash above the instruments was really bad with ripples, but that was from the vinyl fabric pulling away from the foam base.(Looked like a snake under the surface...They replaced it,but the first part they ordered in looked worse that the ne on it,so they had to reorder it.The dealer commented that Acura must be having problems with the dash garnish's.
I have to bring it in on Thursday to have the black plastic trim pieces on the bottoms of both doors replaced, since they are like falling away from the door panel so you can see the clips,or tape underneathe. They are going to try to get the door alignment up top fixed, and the bottom of the driver door to be pulled in the be flush with the back door.
So when I'm there,if others say that the dash should be all smooth on the surface,I'll ask to have that replaced. If everyone here says it's normal,I won't mention it.
Thanks for any replies!
Steve
