Just picked up a set of four Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 tires and new wheels for them (MB Wheels Optima). Got Discount Tire to match the TireRack price and avoided the shipping fee. I was worried the new wheels would be too aggressive and my car would wind up looking tacky instead of cool, but they've grown on me. Let me know what you guys think!
Haven't had a chance to test them in real snow and ice even though the temps are getting low. At first I hated switching from the all season to the snows - the car felt heavier, slower, and had more vibration.
They still feel slower, but after the first 50 miles or so the car seems to roll a little more freely with less vibration. Either snow tires have a break-in period or I got more used to them - I suspect both.
