Greetings, comrades. My current J32A2 motor has always been fitted with a 70 mil Skunk2 B-series throttle body (with the P2R idle control valve adapter) from the moment I installed it into my car. And since I've had it, I've always experienced idle issues, particularly when the engine is cold. First off, I've never seen a decent warm up idle speed (which is supposed to be around 1200 revs or something, am I right? Mine is about 700-800). Second, until it warms up, the engine would often hunt for revs at idle. Third - the revs go way down when the A/C is on at idle, to the point where the A/C compressor would intermittently switch on and off over and over again (and the car would shake). Is this a normal situation with an aftermarket throttle body? Could it be that the P2R adapter plate doesn't allow for enough air flow through the control valve at idle? Or is there something wrong with my motor, like an air leak or something?
