Car Alarm going off, “Check Keyless Entry System”

I was woken up this morning to my TL’s car alarm going off. When I went to go check on it there was a little light on my dash with a key and “!” The screen read out “Check Keyless Entry System”. I was able to start my car, but it took multiple pushes of the push to start when it normally only takes one. If I leave the car locked the alarm goes off, so I just disconnected my battery till I found out a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.
