Has anyone tried to put a bike inside their TLX?

I am wondering if anyone has tried to put a bicycle inside their TLX trunk with the front wheel off and the rear seat folded down? Does it work?

I would hate to use a trunk rack that might scratch the paint.... if it does not work, may be I should go with the MDX??? Hmm....
