Hello Members,
I purchased a 2009 RL a month ago and am totally in love. Great car and got a great deal on it too. Since I picked it up in NJ and test drove it on terrible NJ roads I didnt get to hear any rattles the car had. Could be there was none or I was too excited to hear a little creaking and just wanted to make sure all the options worked. Fast forward to some smooth roads around here, I'm starting to hear two major rattles. One is the documented rear sun shade cover rattle which I would like to fix at some point. The other rattle is the coin holder in the center console. Since the car is so quiet inside, I hear the constant creaking over every bump and curve the car takes. Its a pretty loud creaky noise coming from the edge of the wood console and into the coin holder. What do I do to remedy this? Take it apart and apply felt? How do I take it apart? Take it to the dealer? When you press on the coin holder it creaks pretty badly so Im sure its coming from here. Thoughts?
