fidelity warranty experience...well worth it here

At the time of purchase, nov 2012, 70k, 07 RL, fidelity warranty was $2000, 3yr, 36k mi. At the time I felt jipped, but earlier this year I had 2 motor mounts replaced and the alternator replaced...about $1100. Brought the RL to Acura last week. It was riding horribly on the highway and through out parking lots. All struts were blown so after inspection by fidelity rep, they were all replaced, so was the power steering rack and pump w an alignment, due to a small leak in the rack and an outstanding service advisor. Bill was close to $5K, paid the $100 deductible, and while the RL was at the dealer, got the water pump timing belt tensioner and all drive belts replaced w for $1150. Also did an oil change for $35 and Trans drain and fill for $135. Loaner was a 2014 ILX, it was small, loud ride, but great on gas. The RL rides so much better now, highway vibration is gone and you can feel the wheels on the road so much better.

I have never taken my vehicles to a dealer, this was the first time. But I was very impressed with the service, it felt like the dealer was on my side.

I just wanted to share this with everyone in case someone was looking into a warranty, it could be worth it.

I will say Fidelity sends an inspector out if the claim is over $1000. So I had to wait 2days for them to show up, 2 more days for parts to arrive, I was without the RL for about a week, but glad to have her back.

I've read if you have the acura warranty, part replacement is much quicker since there is no wait for an inspector.
