Hello AcuraZine, a friend and forum member who owns an 07 Type S directed me here as the enthusiast website for Acuras.
I'm hoping to join your ranks. I've put down a deposit on a 2008 TL. One-owner, lady driven, Pearl White on tan, bought and serviced at the dealership it's selling at. Full records. Non-navi, but that doesn't bother me much.
The mileage? 48,000 km (just under 30,000 miles). $17,888.
It's a 7 or 8 year old car at this point but I still feel as if this is a great deal.
As to what pointed me to the 3rd Gen TL, it was pretty simple. If I wanted a reliable sports sedan for a DD, I knew I had to go premium Japanese. The IS is RWD and so I couldn't really run it in the winter, and have no place for vehicle storage of a 2nd car. The Subie's AWD is great in winter but a waste the other 8 mo. of the year. FWD isn't ideal for taking corners, but this isn't a track rat and besides, all reports indicate the TL handles very well for FWD.
No links or pictures or VIN at this point - its an incoming trade-in that I've been given a line on. I'll have those by Saturday, and if all checks out will be buying on Tuesday.
