The Wall Street Journal reported lower satisfaction levels for the year ending July. Acura had the largest drop in satisfaction levels, dropping 7% over last year.
"Leading the group in high customer satisfaction was Daimler AG DAI.XE +2.00% 's Mercedes-Benz with a score of 86, followed by Subaru at 85 and Toyota Motor Co. 7203.TO +0.10% 's Lexus brand tying Volkswagen VOW3.XE +1.31% at 84.

The bottom three finishers were Acura at 77, followed by Dodge at 78, with Jeep and Audi NSU.XE -0.99% tied at 79."

Acura was at the bottom of the 21 brands. I have been saying for some time now, the leadership team at Honda needs to reign in the continuing fall in Acura vehicle (MDX) before the Honda brand sustains permanent damage from the Acura brands falling customer satisfaction. I have had 3 great Honda vehicle with not a single breakdown for under 180k miles. With my Acura I have already had non working DVD at delivery and one road side call for breakdown. I am unlikely to buy a Honda/Acura brand after my current experience, unless I have trouble free usage here on. I am not holding my breath.
