First, great community, appreciate all the DIY info posted here. I did 3x3 ATF drain & fill, ATF filter replacement and 3rd & 4th switch were replaced since joining. :thumbsup:
Spent a couple of hours this afternoon looking for proper pads and rotors for 2006 TL Base w/Navi. The search for "DIY brake pads" sticky returned with hundreds of related posts, I need to learn how to use the search function, :whyme:
My Tl currently has 69,500mi on the clock, brakes are still going strong, but the pads are thin, needing attention soon.
Is OEM pads any better than EBay or any other brand? If 3rd party pads are better accepted here, please recommend the vendors/brands. Also, should I replace the rotors as well?
On my other vehicle, 1999 MB ML320, I have been replacing rotors every other brake work, but this will be my first brake work for TL.
