Quote:

Back in June, we thought we had a pretty good beat on what DC Comics and Warner Bros. were planning in terms of upcoming live-action comic book movies. A rumor began circulating claiming that the companies have seven titles currently in the works, including Justice League, Wonder Woman and Flash and Green Latnern projects. It’s hard to say exactly how much of that information was accurate in terms of naming in-development projects, but one thing is definitely for sure: there are a lot of DC Comics movies set to be unveiled over the next few years.

According to Box Office Mojo, Warner Bros. and DC have officially revealed dates for 10 (yes, 10!) projects that will be released between now and summer 2020, as well as two separate "WB Event Films". No titles have been named, but the roster, in descending order, is as follows:

Untitled DC Film – August 5, 2016
Untitled DC Film – June 23, 2017
Untitled DC Film – November 17, 2017
Untitled DC Film – March 23, 2018
Untitled DC Film – July 27- 2018
Untitled WB Event Film – November 16, 2018
Untitled DC Film – April 5, 2019
Untitled DC Film – June 14, 2019
Untitled DC Film – April 3, 2020
Untitled DC Film – June 19, 2020
Untitled WB Event Film – November 20, 2020

All of this will be kicked off with Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which, as we reported earlier, has moved away from Captain America 3 and is now scheduled to come out on March 25, 2016. This move echoes a similar maneuver made by Marvel Studios pre-San Diego Comic-Con when they announced a total of six new projects between now and 2019 – bringing their total of untitled in-development projects to a solid seven (it was originally eight, but then Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was officially announced for July 27, 2017). It’s interesting to note that Marvel will be starting to release three movies a year starting in 2017, while DC is apparently waiting a little longer to pull off that strategy (which goes against what the original rumors said).

So what exactly are Warner Bros. and DC Comics planning for all of these release dates? More movies starring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman – not to mention a Justice League film – are all pretty much guaranteed at this point, but what about Shazam, Flash, Green Lantern, Sandman, Aquaman or any of the other characters previously rumored? And which of those dates will be used as sequels for solo movies? All will be answered in time, but for now we want to hear your best guesses in the comments section below.

And let's acknowledge that between Marvel, DC, Sony and Fox there are now 29 comic book movies coming out between now and 2020:
