Hello all in Acura world and beloved acura owners
Well I just bought a 1999 Acura cl 3.0 vtec type s maybe 3 weeks ago and the previous owner had rebuild the transmission brand spanking new but still gave him the same problem that when he's driving and comes to a full stop the trans will go into a blank and u had to lower the gear to 2nd for it to catch and the u keep shifting up to d3-d4 and the car drives good.. Well I checked the trans oil and its brand new.. When the car is cold and I first start up the car and put it into d4 the trans does engagement and picks up and drives off...but when I come to a full stop at a red light/stop sign it goes into a complete black gear then I have to lower it into 2 and it picks up... The motor only has 120 she drives like a new 2013... I nearly stole the car from the previous owner Lmao.... I have a connection at aamco in pearl river ny.. The told me that it could be the top solenoid sensor, or the filter dirty or that a valve inside the trans is stuck and to use transX oil(a gray bottle) or to use LukeGuard (a blk bottle) and put it in the trans... I asked the previous owner if they ever changed the sensor and he told me no that he not too sure wtf... So idk what to do I need help I love this car so car... I have done a full tune up to the motor but I need to find the resolution to this problem.. Hope it's minor, since the trans has been rebuild before and idk who did the work I'm kinda in the dark with this shit... Also the pervious owner put all new original motor mounts trans mount from the Acura dealer it self and why is it that my trans is hitting with my chassis on my driver side ....
