I have to wonder, is it possible on a 3G ?

Helping you fix it right the first time - every time Compiled from November 2013 Articles
New Accessory Available: Siri Eyes Free Mode
Currently Applies To: ’13–14 ILX, ’13–14 ILX Hybrid, and ’13–14 RDX
Just so you know, we’re offering a new accessory that provides greater convenience for drivers using a
Siri-equipped iPhone—Siri Eyes Free Mode.
If you’re not familiar with Siri, it’s the voice recognition feature built into the phone’s operating system.
It lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, make phone calls, and more.
Siri Eyes Free Mode takes that Siri functionality and adds it to the vehicle’s HFL system. Using the Talk button on
the steering wheel, you can tell Siri what to do or ask it questions without taking your eyes off the road. And to help
keep them on the road, Siri blocks any visual feedback that would appear on the phone’s display. For more info, be
sure to check out the attachment on the next page.
Right now, Siri Eyes Free Mode is available for just these models:
• 2013-14 ILX Premium and Tech - ALL
• 2013-14 ILX Hybrid - ALL
• 2013–14 RDX - ALL
It’s installed as an HFL control unit software update, so be sure to follow the procedure in installation instruction
BII 50045, Siri Eyes Free Mode HFL Software.

Now it clearly says for 2013-14, but my question is since this is an update to the 2013-14 HFL and the 3G has HFL albeit a much older version, if the newer HFL module could be adapted to a 3G?

Anyone have thoughts on this?
