I've been lurking around acurazine for the last few weeks and figured it was time I contributed a little. Basically I was told my 6yr old A4 Quattro 2.0t needed its engine rebuilt for the second time ASAP. Not going down that road on a car with 140k miles. So, I decided it was time to go back to some Japanese reliability. I did love the audi though. I preordered a white/parchment v6 paws advance about 2 weeks ago. Agreed on msrp. And they were giving me decent trade(the CEL wasn't on) :what: My dealer in South Carolina got 3 V6 cars Thursday. I was also informed that parchment wasn't available and they got me espresso instead. I really wasn't feeling the espresso in the photos I'd seen and wasn't sure what to expect. So, first reactions, the espresso looks very nice. It's a dark interior, but the brown leather gives it a little warmth. The white exterior looks great. The v6 18s are painted a little darker than I realized but it looks sharp with light exterior. The tail lights are also smoked a little and I think this gives it a more modern up to date look. The back seat has nice leg room but a little short on headroom. The els audio sounds competitive with my bang and olufson. It's not real strong with the deeper base though. The two screen setup is nice but will take a little practice. The transmission is smooth and any delay isn't enough to bother me. IDS does make the car's character significantly different. I feel like the top trim could be further justified with adaptive dampers too. I think the v6 fwd is very toss-able. Acceleration is strong but it's definitely a highway cruiser. However, it's not floaty. Damping is firm but compliant. No harsh impacts make it into the cabin. The car's VERY quiet. Btw, my tires were all at 42 psi and 32psi is recommended on the door plate. Dropping it took a little jitteriness out of things. My only fit finish issue, front bumper is ever so slightly misaligned to the car's right. Maybe 3/4mm. Taking it in for tint and clear bra this week, and I hope I have a 200k mile winner on my hands, no more German cars for me.
