RV-6 Downpipe Sound

For those of you who have this downpipe already installed I would love to see a clip (mainly listen to it) with it installed. I have the CPE cold air and ETS intercooler so if you have it with those two mods as well that would be great. A catted and non catted version would also be cool. Thanks in advance

RSX Sludge Help

My RSX engine light was on and would not pass inspection. The car ran just fine. I took to the dealer who would diagnose for $125. I agreed. He sited sludge and said $950 to clean. I agreed. Went o pick up car dealer said Uh Oh car does not stay running. Said some of "sludge went into other parts of engine and car dies when idling. WHAT ? ? ? Dealer wants additional $5000 for new engine.
I am not mechanically inclined. Am I being taken advantage of ? But it sounds like the Dealership caused the problem by not cleaning properly. Am I wrong ? What should I do ?

Please help ? Anyone ?

Hi everyone, My name is Andrew and I am thinking about purchasing this ....

http://mulleracuraofmerrillville.com...-Car/30053355/

All in all it seems like a good deal. The exterior is in pretty good shape with a few small scratches here and there, but it is a black car so they will always stand out. I took it for a test drive and it put a smile on my face from the second I put the pedal down (my face looked like this guy -->:chuckle:); compared to what I'm driving now I felt like I was driving a Lambo.

Any comments anyone?? Do you guys think this is a good price for this car? Anything else I should know? Thanks.

Is it possible for me to place 02 RL seating into my 99 tl? just want a different look inside to keep it unique. Also does anyone have a wiring schematic for non navi to navi? I have all the OEM parts from a 02 tl. Already installed the six disc changer, dash bevel, heating/ac control unit and place the navi touch screen in the slot. All is wired and except touch screen controller.

Want to do the job right, not worrying about taking interior apart, except need a cool day to do so...:wish:

Is there a cash incentive already for Canadian TLX buyers?

$

I was just on the Acura.ca site and I noted that the cash purchase price for the TLX was $1000 - $2000 lower than the original price, depending on the trim level ($1000 less for the base models and $2000 less for the higher trim levels such as SH-AWD Tech or SH-AWD Elite).

Am I reading this right? Does it mean that Acura is giving cash buyers $1000 - $2000 incentive already to push the initial sales of the car in Canada?

If this is true, it has not been advertised as I only noticed it in the Build and Price calculator.

Though there is apparently no such incentive for leasing or financing, they are offering a 2.9% lease rate for 36 months. If you combine that with the 2% loyalty bonus for existing Acura buyers, you can get a lease rate of 0.9% for 36 months in Canada. That is not bad at all for a brand new model!

Lamborghini: Huracán LP610-4 Super Trofeo news

From here: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...rofeo-race-car

Quote:

Lamborghini has released the first photo of its all-new Huracán LP 610-4 race car that is destined to compete in the Italian automaker’s Super Trofeo one-make racing series from 2015. Recently, Lamborghini’s motorsport division Squadra Corse announced it had hired some drivers (pictured in gallery above) to help with testing of the car, and we’ve now learned that initial shakedown testing has gotten underway at the Vallelunga race track in Italy.

The new race car’s official title is Huracán LP 610-4 Super Trofeo, and as the name suggests the car packs the same 601-horsepower, 5.2-liter V-10 found in the road-going Huracán, and its all-wheel-drive system, too. As the teaser photo reveals, there are some major modifications at the front, most likely to aid downforce and provide extra cooling. We’re also expecting an extensive body kit for the rest of the car and a large rear wing.

Even though the Huracán race car will start competing in the three present Blancpain Super Trofeo racing series next year, any teams that have just purchased a Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo will still be able to compete in the new season. Lamborghini has confirmed that both the Gallardo and the Huracán which will share the grid but will race in different classes.

“The first shakedown is always a very special moment,” Giorgio Sanna, Lamborghini’s chief test driver and new head of Squadra Corse, said in a statement. “I’ve followed the development phase step by step in Sant’Agata Bolognese, and we are all enthusiastic about this very important moment.”

Note, the Huracán is also due to be developed into a GT3-spec race car that will serve as a replacement for the present Gallardo GT3. The Gallardo GT3 competes primarily in the Blancpain Endurance Series, with one of the cars fielded by Lamborghini motorsport partner Reiter Engineering.

What would you do?

About two weeks ago I bought an 07 TL Type-S with A-Spec kit in the Kinetic Blue Pearl with 91,000 miles for $12,500. I happen to be in the right place at the right time and the guy had to sell the car because he was going to be overseas for a long time and needed the car gone. CarFax showed everything was good and it was maintained pretty well. I believe it said it was worth about $1300 more than average. When I bought the car the A/C had just been fixed because it had gone out and also the dash was cracked and he bought a new dash pad and looks great now. The only problem with the car is that the tint looks pretty suckish and needs to be replaced but that is an easy fix. I have had the car thoroughly checked out by my mechanic and everything checked out and all it needs is brakes here in a couple months.

With all this being said, as my name states, I am an entrepreneur and wheel and deal a lot. My dad has suggested to me that since I got it at such a great price that I should try to sell it and possible get something a little nicer since I can. My question is would you keep the car or would you try to sell it and make a couple grand and buy something a little nicer? ( I am thinking about a G37 Coupe or a 4th Gen TL) Also, how much do you think I would be able to sell my car for? Any opinions and advice is greatly appreciated!

The gray rubber on several buttons is coming off...

$

I have recently purchased a 2005 Acura RL. I am slowing fixing it up. A few climate control bulbs are burnt out which I will fix soon. My biggest concern on the interior, besides the leather on the arm rests like everyone has issues with, is the gray rubber on some of the buttons is peeling. Some of them feel tacky to the touch. I thought they were dirty so I used some glass cleaner and a soft cloth to clean one of them. I quickly realized they weren't dirty but the rubber is coming off. I have to assume the prior owner used a strong cleaner or something that caused this to happen. My only option now is to remove all the rubber on the switches. It order for it to look right I will have to do it to all of them. The volume, cruise control, HFL, etc are all slightly peeling as well.

Is this fairly common? Do I have any other options besides replacing the entire unit, which is very expensive?

Justnspace vs J32/J37

About a month ago, I let a friend drive my car because I was incapacitated at the time.

this led to Tom Foolery and the hooning began as I was egging it on from the passenger seat.

The friend being unfamiliar with the 6MT gearing, not knowing which RPM at which speed to be in at the perfect gear and most likely over-revv'd the engine.

we woke up the next morning to a funny idle. sounded like the car was cammed.

"lope lope lope lope lope"

Sounded coool!!!! but I knew what happened.
performance was lost and the car just wasnt as smooth any more.

since I knew I had lost compression somewhere; i skipped the leak down and compression test.

I then got in contact with Yungone501 to score J37 heads from the 07-09 MDX coupled with the 07-08 TL-S cams.

After securing the parts; I started to tear down the engine.

I was stuck on the crank pulley bolt...

I was stuck for maybe a week and a half.

last night, I decided to try my luck with it.
I pried and pried with all my might.

the breaker bar ended up kicking back on me and I decided I was done for the night.

I invited a friend over this morning to help tackle the crank bolt.

as he reached for the breaker bar attached to the crank bolt, he let out a little laugh.

"its already loosened fool"

apparently, I had broken the bolt loose last night when it kicked back at me.

Old Concept, New Solution - Blinking 3G TL OEM sidemarkers

$

So I once had the Gerzand dual relay soldered module that I made...passenger stopped working properly and remade it, only for it to fail again.

I ended up removing them completely and revisited with the usr blinking depo switchbacks.

I've since gone back to amber and oem and kinda wanted the blinking effect for safety. Purchased these modules from Bob at Modifry for my S2000...which has sidemarkers with reverse functionality (they signal but don't stay on with parking lights without the module).

I emailed him asking what he thought about them working for the TL and he said they should work fine and that others have reported that they do for other cars. Tried them today and they work perfectly.

Same as before, on with parking lights...alternating blink unless off, then they blink in sync. I had the parking light wire soldered/tapped/tied off so my install was really easy...other than being lazy and cracking one side when I pried it off :tomato:

Basically, very nice solid terminals...you cut your oem wires and screw the terminals down on both sides and one to the parking lights and it's a done deal. An hour install total...

This is not really a DIY since I'm skipping the tapping to parking light portion...you'd remove wheel and wheel well to access that.

He's not interested in becoming a vendor or trying to pitch this to anyone else so this thread is really just me wanting to share that it works with you all in case you have wanted to the functionality.

Google Modifry to find the site. Not sure I'm supposed to link anything.
