The Shift knob on my 07 TL 6MT is very worn and I would like to replace it. I don't really feel like paying $60+ for a new one. I am hoping someone went aftermarket and they have the stock knob sitting around in good condition.

10. Modifications: 20% lifetime warranty tint
11. Service record: schedule 1B maintenance just completed 7/15/14
12. If leased, provide details, such as length of lease, payoff amount, etc.
I have a 2013 Acura ILX 2.4 premium model, black on black, 6 speed manual. There was only ONE in the whole Portland and Seattle northwest area with a 6 speed manual with this combination at the time when I bought this. That is how rare this combination is. Only about 5% of ILX cars will come in a manual supposedly.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car. It drives perfect, looks perfect, still has the new car smell, and of course includes factory warranty with all pamphlets, manuals, etc. The windows have been professionally tinted and come with a lifetime warranty. Also, I average about 30 in the city, and 33 freeway! Currently there is around 12,500 miles on the car. Oil change serviced at Cerritos Acura dealership and schedule 1B maintenance done at Torrance Acura dealership (oil change, multipoint inspection, rotate tires, etc).
You wont be disappointed with this car! It's a deal at $24,000. It is a steal of a price for the premium 6 speed and you wont find anything cheaper right now I'm pretty sure. Unfortunately for me, I have to limit my expenses at this time since I moved downtown to be closer to work. This would be a perfect car for someone that likes a Honda Civic SI or Acura TSX, but wants a combination of luxury and nimbleness! This car uses the same motor as the Civic SI and TSX 2.4 for some of you that may not have known.
Please call or text 503-821-9787 if interested.

Can't Remove HVAC Blower Motor C202 Connector (Subharness 04321-S0K-A00 Swap)
I have the harness (and the blower and the transistor) but for the life of me I cannot get access to the C202 connector behind the dash in order to remove the BLK/YEL wire from it. I did get the plug with the female terminals removed but cannot get any further. There is just no room to maneuver and you have to work in an awkward position.
How do you get access to and remove the male terminal from the C202 connector when it's so inaccessible?
And how would you cut off the terminal (once removed from the connector) and tape it up in such tight quarters. I mean there is just no room.
What the trick?

Tesla: Model III news
http://www.autoweek.com/article/car-...ghting-model-3
Quote:
Tesla has a new vehicle in the pipeline, slated to go on sale at some point after the Model X crossover. On Tuesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that the Model 3 -- we've also seen it stylized as Model III -- will be a relatively affordable, sporty midsize sedan. AutoExpress claims a 2017 sale date, which would follow a debut likely sometime in 2016. We dont know what the Model 3 will look like, but a scaled-down version of the Model S is probably the safest bet (were definitely willing to be surprised, though). Price gets scaled down, too, to a more manageable $35,000, according to Automotive News. Musk says it will hit about 200 miles on a charge (no word on whether larger battery packs will be optional) and that itll have a footprint similar to that of the old sport/luxury benchmark, the BMW 3-series. Fittingly, given its name -- is that really the best you could come up with, Elon? -- its also expected to compete with the Bavarian sedan. If it does as good a job challenging 3-series as the Model S did with, say, the 5-series -- and it can do so for that proposed $35K sticker -- Tesla could well have a large-scale hit on its hands. Itll almost certainly be better than the Bimmer in the quarter mile, at least. Tesla Model S walks 2005 Dodge Viper at the drag strip: Controversial run leaves us with plenty to ponderGREEN CARS Tesla Model S walks 2005 Dodge Viper at the drag strip: Controversial run leaves us with plenty to ponderFighting through a field jam-packed with electrified contenders such as the Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i-MiEV, the Tesla Model S has just earned the title of fastest production EV through the quarter-... That will be a huge deal for Tesla, as well as for electric vehicles in general. Along with that all-electric crossover, a successful, affordable sedan will be crucial if Tesla wants to start selling in volume. Recall that, for all the excitement and buzz (backed by solid product, to be sure), the fledgling automaker has moved probably well under 50,000 cars since its founding over a decade ago. Widespread electric-car adoption is something of a chicken-and-egg scenario; it doesnt make sense to buy an electric car unless theres infrastructure, and it doesnt make sense to build infrastructure unless a lot of people with electric cars demand it. The skillful execution of the Model 3 could play a big role in tipping that balance in favor of EVs -- perhaps a bigger role than free and open patents ever could. We'll probably have to wait until 2017 to find out. |

Bando Drive Belts - OEM vs Aftermarket
My niece's 2007 Acura TSX came with a Bando drive belt. Acura sells this belt for $45 whereas the Bando aftermarket belt is about $20. I asked Bando if there are any differences between the $45 Acura belt and the $20 aftermarket belt. Without hesitation, they adamantly said the two belts are identical. Is it possible that Acura maks up their drive belts over 100%? Thanks.

The ones I have come across, Megan and B+G seem sketchy when it comes to the 3.2 model. I found some D2 Coilovers on ebay for the Accord 90-97 that the seller claims will fit my 97 3.2 TL. Is it worth the interest?

Car locking on it own
So as the title says my doors have been locking on their own as well as my steps-dads. I have an '07 Tl Type S and he has an 03 Honda Accord. I was in the garage the other day to get something out of my car and noticed that my car locked randomly but thought I may have just accidentally hit the lock button, but today I was going to wash my car and left the key fob inside and unlocked it before I went outside and I did some stuff before actually going to open my door for something micro-fabric I just bought and the car was locked so I went back to unlock it and when I went back out to open the door I actually saw the door lock on its own( the key fob was still on the kitchen table and nobody else was home so it couldn't be a joke) Also, when I went to go get gas tonight I locked my car when I went it to pay then unlocked it when I got back out and while the gas was pumping the car again locked on its own. Like I said earlier my step dad's car has locked on its on before too, so what in the world could be going on??
